Description
We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team in the Outpatients department at The Park Hospital in Nottingham. This is a bank role working on an 'as and when required' basis, supplementing staffing levels during busy periods and providing cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.
The successful candidate will deliver direct nursing care in line with patient care plans and clinical protocols, assess patient needs, prioritise care, and update care plans accordingly. They will maintain accurate, legible, and timely nursing documentation, communicate effectively and empathetically with patients, families, and carers, and support patients in understanding their condition, treatments, and recovery processes.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care in line with patient care plans and clinical protocols
- Assess patient needs, prioritise care, and update care plans accordingly
- Maintain accurate, legible, and timely nursing documentation
- Communicate effectively and empathetically with patients, families, and carers
- Support patients in understanding their condition, treatments, and recovery processes
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide high-quality, safe, and efficient care
- Identify and report incidents, safeguarding concerns, and potential risks in line with hospital procedures
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration
- Demonstrable experience working in a clinical healthcare setting
- Good understanding of clinical governance, patient safety, and evidence-based practice
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Proficient in IT systems used for patient records, documentation, and care planning
Salary & Benefits:
- Competitive hourly rate up to £22.46 per hour (depending on level of experience, training, and qualification)
