Description
We are seeking a Chief Accountant to join our team in Warsaw, Poland. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the Financial Operations Director and the office lead in developing the finance function and implementing standard policies and procedures.
The Chief Accountant will be responsible for managing the current accounting and financial operations of the Warsaw office, including:
- Managing e-invoicing in accordance with KSeF regulations
- Processing supplier invoices, reconciling payments, and explaining discrepancies
- Collaborating with the central team responsible for partner support on partner invoicing and payments
- Reconciling bank accounts and transactions between group entities
- Reviewing the office's trial balance and ensuring that all financial information is reported, reconciled, and conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures
The ideal candidate will have:
- A higher education qualification in accounting, finance, or a related field
- At least five years of experience in a large professional services organization or law firm in a senior finance role
- Proven experience in implementing financial control mechanisms, processes, and best practices in a growing business environment
- Strong knowledge of Polish accounting standards and VAT regulations
