As a Platform Engineer, you'll design, build, and operate the platforms, tooling, and automation capabilities that power modern software delivery across the organisation.
Build & Evolve Platforms
- Design and develop scalable, self-service platform capabilities that improve developer productivity and accelerate software delivery.
- Build and maintain cloud-native platform solutions leveraging containerisation, orchestration, infrastructure automation, and platform services.
- Create reusable engineering standards, frameworks, and deployment patterns that enable consistency across teams.
Automate & Optimise
- Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using modern automation tools and practices.
- Establish and enhance CI/CD pipelines to streamline build, test, release, and deployment processes.
- Improve platform reliability, scalability, security, and operational efficiency through automation and observability.
- Drive standardisation through platform engineering best practices, policy automation, and governance frameworks.
Enable Engineering Excellence
- Partner with Software Engineers, Architects, SREs, Security teams, and Product teams to build reliable engineering platforms.
- Improve developer experience through self-service tools, internal developer platforms, and engineering productivity initiatives.
- Participate in platform design reviews, architecture discussions, incident reviews, and continuous improvement activities.
Operate & Support
- Monitor platform health, availability, and performance across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Contribute to operational excellence through logging, monitoring, alerting, capacity planning, and resilience engineering practices.
- Support incident management, root cause analysis, and service reliability initiatives.
Mentor & Share
- Guide engineers on platform capabilities, automation practices, cloud adoption, and DevOps methodologies.
- Contribute to engineering communities, internal tech forums, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
