Description
As a Staff Backend Engineer at Wise, you will be helping create an entirely new network for the world's money. You will join the Personal Onboarding Verification team, a diverse, cross-functional group passionate about solving complex problems with elegant solutions.
The team is responsible for the critical verification journey that consumers complete before using Wise's products. You will own the entire verification lifecycle – from document collection flows and automated review systems to agent tooling and compliance monitoring.
To succeed, the team needs to implement a system that keeps up with state-of-the-art technology, enables several teams to contribute while keeping complexity and load manageable, and has the data and observability to analyse flows and prove they work according to regulations.
As part of the team, you will be working with engineers across the stack, designers, data analysts, and product managers who collaborate closely to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
