Description
WSP is seeking a High Voltage Transmission Line and/or Civil Inspector in Nevada. The successful candidate will perform transmission line inspections and civil inspections, ensuring compliance with approved plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
The role involves field inspections of overhead and underground transmission line construction projects, including transmission structures, foundations, and environmental compliance. The ideal candidate will have 9+ years of relevant post-education experience in a related discipline, with 5+ years of active field experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing field inspections of transmission line construction projects
- Generating accurate inspection reports and documentation
- Providing technical assistance and guidance to support proper construction and installation
- Verifying load calculations, foundation designs, and material quantities
- Monitoring project phasing, outage coordination, and contractor work activities
The position requires strong analytical and technical judgment skills, with the ability to evaluate transmission line construction conditions, safety concerns, and compliance risks. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential.
