Description
Job Overview
You will be a Senior Engineer in Exposure & Vulnerability Management at Recursion, a company that aims to decode biology with confidence. You will help shift Recursion from periodic scans to continuous, risk-driven exposure management by building multi-agent systems that take vulnerabilities from discovery to verified closure.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy multi-agent systems that analyze exposures from the outside in, map dependencies, generate patches or Infrastructure-as-Code updates, and validate results with approval gates, audit trails, and rollback.
- Develop engines that prioritize exposures based on real-time reachability, attack-path context, business criticality, and live exploit intelligence.
- Automate verification to separate theoretical flaws from actively exploitable conditions.
- Drive Continuous Threat Exposure Management (CTEM) strategy to shift the organization to a proactive security posture.
- Revamp the exposure and vulnerability management program to accelerate key business outcomes and support a zero-trust security approach.
- Architect cloud-native discovery, asset-inventory, and remediation workflows integrated with ticketing, CI/CD, and configuration management.
- Partner with Engineering and IT to embed secure-by-default practices into product and application development.
- Define KPIs, KCIs, and KRIs to measure control effectiveness and guide continuous improvement.
- Support regulatory compliance by designing exposure and vulnerability controls that meet standards such as SOC2.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in vulnerability management, exposure management, or related information security domains.
- Deep understanding of security principles and experience turning vulnerability data into prioritized remediation.
- Hands-on experience building or deploying AI/LLM-based agents or multi-agent systems.
- Working knowledge of approval workflows, audit logging, and rollback controls.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Go, Java).
- Expert-level experience with leading vulnerability and exposure management platforms.
- Strong command of risk-based prioritization and threat intelligence feeds.
- Experience with cloud platforms, container and Kubernetes security, and Infrastructure-as-Code.
Benefits
- Estimated annual base salary range: $134,200–$180,600.
- Eligible for annual bonus, equity compensation, and comprehensive benefits package.
- Remote position with regular on-site visits.
