We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance - Surveillance Operational Performance Analyst – Sr. Analyst to join our team in Manila.
The successful candidate will join the newly formed Manila Compliance Surveillance function, focusing on supporting the Operational Performance team. The primary responsibility of the team is to provide observations on the quality and effectiveness of surveillance models through ongoing performance monitoring and make recommendations to compliance management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the team in the calibration and effectiveness review process for Trade Surveillance scenarios
- Review existing processes and procedures, providing input and recommendations for enhancements
- Analyze large and complex data sets to identify patterns, trends, and outliers, providing actionable insights
- Support the broader surveillance team and Technology to analyze alert scenario and detection engines' ability to capture specific use cases
- Review and interpret relevant industry regulations and internal Deutsche Bank policies to evaluate their pertinence to compliance surveillance controls
- Work on ad-hoc Surveillance tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Knowledge of Financial Markets and familiarity with market abuse and market manipulation principles
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and sound judgment
- Ability to analyze large data sets and investigate potential issues
- Sound foundation of knowledge relating to compliance and regulatory requirements
- Team player with the ability to work independently
- Proactive, motivated, and driven to resolve issues in a timely manner
- Ability to engage and manage multiple stakeholders

Education and Experience:
- Degree level preferably in finance or economics
- Previous financial services role or academic study with exposure to financial market processes
- Fluency in English; fluency in Asian or European languages would be viewed favorably
