Description
The Quality Engineer will be responsible for product quality and quality systems for ceramic components manufactured for the aerospace/defense industry. The role involves problem-solving, continuous improvement, supplier development, and customer interface.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading quality and continuous improvement efforts for ceramic components
- Implementing quality systems, including internal audits, incoming quality checks, lean six sigma, and corrective actions
- Determining product acceptance per customer technical data package requirements
- Supporting production groups to meet shipment targets
- Being on-call to support production, engineering, and customers
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline
- Three years of quality and/or manufacturing experience in an engineering role
- Experience in defense/aerospace industry, aerospace standards, ceramic processing, precision grinding, CMM, and ISO 14000 is a plus
- Proficiency in basic statistical analysis, report writing, and MS Office
