As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in delivering compassionate care to patients every day. You will work in an environment where the highest professional and ethical standards are maintained, ensuring all medication needs and regulatory compliance standards are met for patients. Success in this role includes managing assigned pharmacy workstations and tasks, providing caring service that exceeds customer expectations, and demonstrating ethical conduct and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to patients and customers
- Assist pharmacists with dispensing medications and performing pharmacy-related tasks
- Maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Operate a cash register and process transactions
- Perform inventory management and control
- Utilize mathematical reasoning to calculate day's supply of prescriptions
- Resolve problems and make sound judgments in complex situations
Requirements:
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Licensure requirements vary by state
- Attention and focus to concentrate on tasks without distraction
- Excellent customer service orientation and communication skills
- Mathematical reasoning to solve problems
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for long periods
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- PTCB National Certification
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
