We are seeking a Principal BIM Technician - Substation to join our team in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
As a Principal BIM Technician, you will develop and implement BIM strategies, policies, and best practices across substation projects. You will manage and deliver project information models for substation, ensuring compliance with BIM Execution Plans and contractual obligations.
Responsibilities:

- Stay updated with the latest digital technologies and practices.
- Establish and administer the Common Data Environments (CDEs) into ACC (Autodesk Construction Cloud).
- Develop and lead digital delivery strategy implementation, integrating technical and design teams across the projects.
- Optimize collaboration for seamless BIM execution in the project.
- Develop and implement BIM setup and workflows for enhanced project management and coordination.
- Maintain quality assurance processes for BIM deliverables and ensure adherence to BIM standards.
- Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, ensure seamless information flow, and facilitate communication between stakeholders.
- Support team development, mentor BIM staff, and raise the BIM profile within the organization.
- Identify internal and external training opportunities to enhance BIM team competencies.
- Develop and implement a structured BIM training roadmap for skill advancement.
- Collaborate with industry experts and training providers to facilitate specialized workshops.
- Monitor emerging BIM technologies and best practices, ensuring the team stays ahead of industry trends.
- Organize knowledge-sharing sessions and mentorship programs to strengthen technical proficiency.
Qualifications:
- Must have previous multidiscipline infrastructure Coordination role (Electrical+Civil +Structure+MEP) experience.
- Must have 10+ years of experience in substation design, minimum up to 400kV voltage level.
- Must have knowledge of different busbar schemas, substation calculation standards, calculations methodologies, understanding on different substation layouts, purpose of substation facilities.
- Strong understanding on AIS/GIS network including but not limited to substation, overhead lines, cable networks, single line diagrams schemas.
- Should have 10+ years of experience of BIM authoring software (Revit, Civil3d), Principles and best practices.
- Must have knowledge on BIM standards (like ISO 19650, PAS 1192).
- Working experience of developing and managing the BEP (BIM execution Plan & Digital delivery Plan, MIDP & TIDP).
- Working experience of setup and manage CDE (Common data environment) into ACC (Autodesk Construction Cloud).
- Working experience in different extensions of BIM 4D, 5D, 6D & 7D.
- Good experience in handling large scale models for federation & GIS integration.
- Experience executing & management of multi-disciplinary design coordination, ACC template creation, ACC team setups, workflow creation etc.
- Experience in driving the implementation of digital information plans and strategies.
- Experience executing multi-discipline coordination, clash detection and issue management and should be an advanced user of Autodesk Navisworks, ACC Model Coordination.
- Good command on automated content creation & management using Dynamo, Rhino etc.
- Project monitoring and reporting using Power BI or primavera etc.
