Description
WSP is seeking a Senior Consultant, Architect for its New York City office, focusing on transportation projects with the Transportation Facilities Group (TFG).
The TFG leads design projects supporting local and regional growth initiatives through small and large transportation projects. The successful candidate will work on varied projects in the transportation field within the NY Metro Region, including designs in rail and bus stations, pre-k and higher education projects, airports, transportation hubs, and rail systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead design teams and coordinate disciplines
- Review architectural designs and ensure code compliance
- Oversee development of construction documents, including specifications for renovations and new construction
- Lead technical proposals and business development activities
- Exercise responsible decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Architecture or related degree with a Master's in Architecture
- 5-7 years of relevant post-education experience, preferably in transportation
- Strong knowledge of construction drawing standards and building codes
- Proficiency in architectural tools such as AutoCAD, REVIT, SketchUp, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Excellent communication and writing skills, attention to detail, and organisational abilities
- Ability to work independently and multi-task
- Understanding of NY State and NYC Building Codes
- Experience with Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications:
- NCARB certification
- Transit architecture experience

Expected Salary: $103,300 - $150,000
