Description
We are seeking a Japanese Lead Multimedia Content Reviewer to join our Production team on a full-time remote basis.
As a Lead Multimedia Content Reviewer, you will be responsible for writing and reviewing linguistic content in Japanese to ensure the highest quality of accuracy for customers using multimedia platforms. You will also act as a cultural ambassador for the Japanese language market, producing fully localized content and identifying potential cultural issues.
Main Duties:
- Edit and proofread content to ensure accuracy, meeting provided standards
- Create marketing content to engage customers
- Proofread and copy edit storefront descriptions
- Report patterns of issues to improve database and product performance
- Test tools to provide feedback for improving efficiency and accuracy
- Perform translations and review tasks as needed
Quality Management Planning and Execution:
- Collaborate with the Welocalize Quality Department to monitor linguistic quality and plan quality initiatives
- Define and track quality expectations per language
- Perform root cause analysis and design corrective actions
- Ensure language level quality oversight through KPI tracking and status reporting
Client Engagement:
- Join calls with clients to discuss quality and strategy
- Document meetings and follow up with linguists
- Liaise between clients and the Welocalize linguistic team
Linguistic Asset Management:
- Create and maintain linguistic assets
- Maintain client-facing documentation
- Communicate asset updates to the linguistic team
Team Coordination:
- Review copy and provide feedback to linguists
- Support linguists in understanding corrections and identifying root causes of issues
- Coach and mentor linguists
Requirements:
- University degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 4+ years of experience in translation/localization, reviewing, copywriting, or creative writing
- Native-level fluency in Japanese and fluent in English
- Thorough understanding of the localization process
- Good user experience with standard software
- Ability to work with tight deadlines and give clear feedback
