Instacart is transforming the grocery industry by providing a platform for customers to order groceries and household goods online. The company is seeking a Deal Desk Specialist to join its Sales organization, which is at an inflection point with new products, pricing models, and acquisitions making every deal more complex.
The Deal Desk Specialist will be responsible for making every deal fast, well-structured, and compliant, so Sales can close with confidence and Finance, Tax, and Legal can trust what gets booked. The role sits at the intersection of Sales and Finance, and the person who fills it will have a direct line of sight to deal velocity, revenue quality, and the health of the Quote-to-Cash process.
Key responsibilities include:
- Improving deal velocity by reviewing and approving pricing, discounting, and structure quickly and correctly
- Identifying and mitigating contract risks before signature
- Ensuring Quote-to-Cash excellence by documenting and maintaining a consistent process
- Building cross-functional partnerships with Sales, Finance, Tax, and Legal
- Operationalizing new products, pricing models, and acquisitions
The ideal candidate will be proactive, tactful, and detail-obsessed, with experience working with sales organizations and communicating across teams. They will have a strong understanding of ASC 606, Quote-to-Cash processes, and proficiency in Excel.
Instacart offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including a base pay range of $104,000-$131,000 depending on location, as well as eligibility for a new hire equity grant and annual refresh grants.
