Responsibilities
As an Area Collections Manager, you will own collection performance for the assigned geography and bucket(s); understand local portfolio characteristics, monitor portfolio movement, and execute collection strategies to drive resolution and recovery outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, coaching, and developing a team of 2-5 direct reports;
- Managing 3-6 collection agencies across the assigned geography;
- Owning resolution and recovery targets for the assigned portfolio;
- Ensuring adherence to RBI guidelines, company policies, and the code of conduct for collections;
- Collaborating with operations, risk, legal, analytics, and agency management teams.
Requirements
To apply, you should have:
- Strong understanding of the relevant region/state profile of customers across local districts;
- Knowledge of local agencies and demonstrated ability to drive and manage collection agencies;
- Proficiency in the local language;
- Knowledge of the code of conduct for collections;
- Strong understanding of the collections business;
- Familiarity with key collections metrics.
