Access Hub and Patient Service Advisor Floater

We are seeking a flexible and patient-focused individual to join our team as an Access Hub and Patient Service Advisor Floater. The successful candidate will work across various Nexus Health Group sites, providing support to both site-based Patient Services Advisor (PSA) functions and central Access Hub operations.

The role involves greeting and assisting patients, handling enquiries courteously and efficiently, undertaking administrative tasks, managing patient footfall, responding to patient queries, and maintaining accurate appointment systems.

As a floater, you will be required to work flexibly across locations and teams to meet operational demands. You will receive full training and support to ensure you can perform your duties effectively.

The salary for this position is £13.30 per hour, and the contract is fixed-term for 1 year, working full-time hours of 37.5 per week.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist patients in using our services
• Handle patient enquiries courteously, efficiently, and with empathy
• Undertake administrative tasks with care and attention to detail
• Understand and work with the team to meet key performance indicators for this role
• Manage patient footfall and deliver face-to-face reception services at site level
• Respond to patient queries (face-to-face and telephone) with professionalism and empathy
• Manage appointment booking and maintain appointment systems accurately
• Handle complex queries, including amber and bypass line queries where required

Requirements:

• GCSE/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent experience
• Experience working with patients or in a customer-facing environment
• Experience in a healthcare or GP setting
