Description
IOM invites applications for the Chief of Mission (CoM) position, based in multiple duty stations. The CoM is responsible for overseeing and providing policy, administrative, programmatic, and financial support to the Country Office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and develop the Country Strategy
- Represent IOM to host-government counterparts, diplomatic missions, and international institutions
- Oversee programme design, implementation, and results reporting
- Mobilize resources and establish strategic partnerships
- Manage resources, including human resources, procurement, and finance
- Lead risk management and crisis preparedness
- Foster a respectful, inclusive, and safe working environment
- Promote knowledge sharing, data-driven decision-making, and innovation
- Lead external positioning and visibility at country level, including media representation
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Political or Social Science, International Relations, Business Administration, or a related field
- Seven years of relevant professional experience
- Extensive experience in general management, project and resources management, diplomacy, fundraising, and public relations
- Significant experience in delivering large and diverse programmes in complex settings
