The Starting Hourly Rate is $16.00 USD per hour, with a Pay Range of $16.00 USD - $24.00 USD per hour.

Working as a Starbucks Barista at Target means being part of a team that provides a consistent experience for guests by ensuring product is fresh, in stock, available, and accurately priced and signed on the sales floor.

As a Starbucks Barista, your role will involve:

• Providing a consistent Starbucks experience for guests by curating handcrafted Starbucks food and managing quality and freshness
• Following state and federal food safety and OSHA guidelines
• Creating an Easy, Inspiring, and Friendly guest experience by delivering on commitments, such as greeting guests, helping them find what they need, and resolving issues
• Actively supporting team efforts and assisting peers in other areas while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude
• Adjusting to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experience
• Delivering an exceptional guest experience by providing a fresh and abundant shopping experience during all hours of operations
• Upholding and maintaining the execution of the Food & Beverage Standards
• Executing food and beverage processes, including food deliveries, replenishment, instocks routines, data accuracy, culling, rotation, cleaning, signing, and organising, and storing reserve product
• Being aware of current and future promotions within Starbucks
• Following all Target and Starbucks routines to deliver a consistent experience for guests while completing tasks efficiently and maintaining food safety
• Maintaining an inviting dining area for guests throughout shift
• Engaging with guests to meet and exceed their expectations based on Starbucks standards
• Producing handcrafted beverages and food to specifications on recipe cards
• Following all food safety requirements, including monitoring and recording temperature-sensitive food items
• Completing and recording all cleaning tasks in the Starbucks space
• Locating and identifying damaged, recalled, or expired items and processing according to best practices
• Ensuring accurate in-stocks by placing store-initiated orders according to best practices
• Following proper perishable inventory procedures to ensure accurate recording of inventory
• Executing sampling best practices
• Completing all required training requirements and certifications related to quality control of Starbucks products
• Demonstrating a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
• Working in a safe manner at all times; complying with all safety policies, best practices, and training; reporting hazards and correcting where possible
• Supporting guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick-up, and Drive-up

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous Starbucks or food service experience, although not required
• A welcoming and helpful attitude towards all guests and other team members
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment as directed
• Ability to work both independently and with a team
• Ability to resolve guest questions quickly on the spot
• Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes
• Access to all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues
• Ability to interpret instructions, reports, and information
• Accurately handling cash register operations as needed
• Ability to climb up and down ladders if needed
• Ability to scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely
• Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to work in environments that include refrigeration and freezer temperatures and conditions
• Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties
• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift
