Description
We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist in our MSS Operations Technology department at HSBC.
Principal responsibilities:
- Continuously upgrade and learn various technologies and applications required for successful project delivery through continuous learning and training
- Shoulder responsibility diligently and deliver quality output within the defined schedule and service levels
- Consistently provide the best approach for project execution
- Constantly work towards improving technical and application knowledge capabilities of the teams
- Continuously contribute to enhancing best practices and ensure they are implemented within projects, and validate that projects follow coding and design standards and guidelines
- Continuously provide valued addition to projects
Knowledge and Experience/Qualifications:
- University graduate with a degree in computer science or a related discipline
- At least 6 years of technical experience in Java, J2EE, Spring, SQL, WAS, MQ, etc.
- React JS and API experience are required
- Banking IT experience is an advantage
- Business knowledge in commercial banking, especially Commercial Banking IT, will be an advantage
- Fluent English speaking and professional business writing skills
- Strong problem-solving skills, communication skills, and documentation skills
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated with excellent time management skills and strong initiative
- Able to work independently and effectively under pressure
- Able to adapt to a global team culture and communicate in different locations
