As a Host at Soho House Tokyo, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to members and guests, ensuring they have an enjoyable experience. Your main duties will include welcoming and greeting members, managing table bookings, and supporting the floor team.
Key responsibilities:
- Welcome members and guests in a hospitable manner
- Respond to member inquiries and requests efficiently
- Monitor restaurant and club activity to determine seating and dining flow
- Manage the booking system to ensure members are seated correctly
- Address member-related concerns in real-time
- Build relationships with members and communicate feedback to management
- Influence a fun and positive atmosphere
- Support the floor team with preparing tables
- Provide detailed information on menus, including food, drink, allergies, and pairings
- Handle member complaints with professionalism and escalate when required
- Ensure the safety, security, satisfaction, and wellbeing of employees and members
- Protect the privacy and confidentiality of VIPs and PWKs
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a busy, high-profile venue
- Natural flair for first-class service
- Passion for food, drink, and hospitality
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills
- Fluency in English and Japanese
- Organised and reliable
- Ability to handle feedback and achieve member satisfaction
- Multitasking skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Physical ability to work on your feet for at least 8 hours, seize, grasp, turn, and hold objects by hand, and occasionally kneel, bend, crouch, and climb
