Automation Test Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Automation Test Engineer with hands-on experience in testing desktop and web applications using Selenium. As an Automation Test Engineer at Cigna Healthcare, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability and quality of our automation framework, while driving automation practices across the testing lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for desktop and web applications using Selenium and AccelQ.
• Collaborate with multiple teams for web/desktop testing and environment setup.
• Utilize database skills to build new scripts or reuse existing queries.
• Execute Integration Testing across diverse platforms.
• Integrate automation scripts into CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless deployment.
• Work with development and QA teams to identify automation opportunities and improve test coverage.
• Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
• Analyze business and technical requirements to define test strategies.
• Develop and execute test automation scripts for in-sprint and regression testing using Selenium and AccelQ.
• Create and execute test scripts in test management tools and report bugs.
• Determine priority for test cases and create effective execution plans with maximum coverage.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, such as PI and Sprint planning.
• Track and report automation progress as per PI plan.
• Continuously develop skills in new automation tools to improve automation penetration.
• Contribute to the implementation of new ideas and solutions.
• Adhere to the organization's Quality Engineering best practices and drive changes to achieve greater efficiency.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in a system quality environment.
• 6-8 years of experience in Software QA and automation testing.
• Proven expertise in web app automation and cross-platform testing.
• Experience in CI/CD integration for automated test execution.
• Familiarity with version control systems and agile methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Broad knowledge of the Software Delivery Lifecycle with specific expertise in Software Testing.
• Excellent defect management and test documentation skills.
• Proven experience with desktop automation frameworks and tools.
• Knowledge of the Health Insurance Industry.
• Proven experience working within an Agile environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

• Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Expertise in web application, desktop application, and integration testing.
• Familiarity with test management tools like JIRA, Zephyr.
• Understanding of DevOps principles in testing environments.
• Knowledge of relational databases using SQL queries and file handling.
• Proficiency in Selenium, UFT, and AccelQ.
