Description
WSP is seeking an experienced Construction Manager for its Columbia, MD office.
The successful candidate will be involved in projects with the Program Management and Construction Management team in Charles County, MD, supporting construction management and inspection services related to water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the construction management team, including inspectors, document control personnel, safety professionals, and schedulers
- Manage the document control process using Primavera Contract Manager
- Perform staging and logistics planning
- Manage contract administration activities and prepare Construction Progress Reports
- Conduct constructability reviews and value engineering analyses
- Evaluate contractor schedules and pay applications, making recommendations to the client
- Coordinate with various departments and stakeholders
- Act as the Owner's agent regarding the construction process
- Assist in the RFI, submittal, and change order review process
- Assist in negotiating sub-consultant participation in contracts and task orders
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction management of water treatment facilities and wastewater collection systems
- Knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods
- Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards
- Understanding of all facets of the construction process
- Familiarity with project control systems such as Contract Manager, P6, MS Project, SharePoint
- Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical field

Compensation:
- Expected salary: $100,800 - $133,600 per year
