Description
WSP is looking for an experienced Senior Hydraulic and Hydrology Engineer to join our team.
You will lead the analysis and design of hydraulic structures, including dams, channels, culverts, spillways, and stormwater management systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing and conducting hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using industry-standard software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and SWMM.
- Developing and reviewing technical reports, designs, specifications, and permit drawings.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including civil engineers, environmental scientists, and urban planners.
- Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and staff.
- Ensuring projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
- Leading client or sector programs.
- Conducting site visits and inspections to assess project progress and ensure quality control.
- Staying updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Water Resources.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in hydraulic and hydrology engineering or a closely related field.
- Certified Floodplain Manager.
