Description
As a Transport Operator, you'll help maintain the smooth running of our distribution network, ensuring productivity targets and key customer service levels are achieved within budget.
You'll support the Transport teams and deputise for the Transport Section Manager when they're off duty.
In addition to your contractual pay, you'll receive an Evening Premium of £3.25 per hour for work between 18:00-22:00 and a Night Premium of £4.25 per hour for work between 22:00-06:00.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the health and safety of the transport team is top priority and procedures are adhered to
- Maintain good housekeeping standards
- Ensure compliance with EU driving regulations and the Working Time Directive
- Support the management team and create an environment for development
Essential Skills/Experience
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Good computer literacy skills
- Knowledge of basic Health and Safety procedures
- Supply Chain experience
- Transport/Warehouse Office experience
Desirable Skills/Experience
- Good working knowledge of IT systems (email/MS Office/Paragon)
- National CPC qualification
