Target Security Specialist

We are seeking a Target Security Specialist to join our Assets Protection team at our store located at 10000 Gulf Center Dr, Fort Myers, FL 33913-8961.

As a Target Security Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our guests and team members. Your primary responsibilities will include supporting sales, welcoming and engaging guests, and leading a physical security culture throughout the store.

Key responsibilities:

• Support sales by interacting with guests and team members on the sales floor
• Assess and maintain safe and secure standards throughout the store, including exterior property
• Respond to and document security incidents
• Conduct merchandise recoveries and provide apprehension support as needed
• Prevent theft and shortage by performing receipt checks and monitoring high-dollar merchandise
• Train team members on merchandise protection and audit execution
• Execute shortage action plans to minimise shortage in focus areas

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements related to the position
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and other team members
• Ability to learn and adapt to current technology needs
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and with a team
• Manage workload and prioritise tasks independently

Physical demands:

• Climb up and down ladders
• Apprehend subjects in accordance with company policy
• Scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 40 pounds
• Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
