Description
NVIDIA is seeking a Technical Lead to invent a new platform for assessing AI workload performance on multiple computing nodes. The successful candidate will lead the architecture of a system that collects, maintains, and analyzes performance data at a data center scale.
Job Description: As a Technical Lead at NVIDIA, you will define the end-to-end architecture for a system that collects performance data, maintains it as searchable history, and allows humans and automated analysis agents to identify and explain performance issues. You will evolve this system from an early prototype into a product used by other teams, while building hands-on as the team expands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define the end-to-end architecture, including data model, service and API contracts, and boundaries with tools and teams.
- Make foundational decisions, justify them in documents, and align with partner teams and roadmaps.
- Build services, APIs, and deployment paths in the early phase.
- Explain how automated analysis agents operate within the platform.
- Review performance diagnoses and drive the first use cases with design partners.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 15+ years of software engineering experience, including technical leadership of a data-intensive platform.
- Experience developing or managing systems with automated agents or models processing large amounts of production data.
- Practical knowledge of GPU and machine learning workload performance.
- Track record of crafting APIs and data models that evolve without breaking existing users or deployments.
- Hands-on ability to build and deploy services and tooling.
- Clear communication of build choices, trade-offs, and uncertainty.
- Proficiency with C++, Go, Python.
Nice to Have:
- Background in developer tools, profilers, or performance-analysis products.
- Experience transforming a prototype into a platform.
- Identity, access control, and multi-tenant build for products holding customers' data.
- Evaluation approach for analysis agents or models.
- Working knowledge of SQL and TypeScript.
Salary and Benefits: The base salary range is 272,000 USD - 431,250 USD. You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
