Description
Welocalize, a Welo Global brand, is seeking a native-level Italian speaker to join a confidential, large-scale AI and consumer technology program for a major global technology and communications client.
The successful candidate will evaluate a pre-release AI model in Italian and test how the product performs on a client-supplied device, including a smartphone and next-generation smart glass.
Main Responsibilities:

- Test the Italian experience against English, confirming feature parity and verifying that the product handles non-Latin scripts, diacritics, right-to-left text, and mixed-language input correctly.
- Identify display issues and localization errors, documenting each issue clearly for developers to reproduce.
- Provide native-level insights on navigation and usability, highlighting Italian-specific nuances.
- Work on-site in a private, secure area of the Welocalize office.
- Assist with other linguistic projects as needed.
Job Requirements:
- Native-level or fully bilingual proficiency in Italian, written and spoken.
- Confidence using smartphones and laptops, with comfort working across iOS and Android.
- Strong attention to detail and fair, objective judgment when assessing quality.
- Ability to work independently, follow detailed test scripts and guidelines, and clearly explain issues in English.
- Previous experience in software/app testing, localization QA, or linguistic evaluation is a strong plus.
