Senior Flight Engineering Manager

The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking a Senior Flight Engineering Manager to join our Flight Engineering team that supports multiple development efforts including Advanced Air Dominance Platforms in Hazelwood, MO.

As a Senior Flight Engineering Manager, you will manage employees and mid-level managers performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of Flight Engineering. You will develop and execute integrated organizational plans, policies, and procedures, and guide the development of business and technical strategies, goals, and objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing employees and mid-level managers
• Developing and executing organizational plans, policies, and procedures
• Acquiring resources for organizational activities
• Providing technical management of suppliers and leading process improvements
• Developing and maintaining relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports
• Providing oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes

The successful candidate will have:

• A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
• At least three years of experience in a leadership role or completion of the Boeing internal course 'Exploring Leadership'
• 10 years of experience in a Flight engineering discipline
• 5 years of Cross IPT Leadership and Coordination Experience

Preferred qualifications include:

• Experience with Flight Testing
• Experience with Scheduling, Budget, and Planning
• Prior Experience with Technical Guidance and Oversight of Large Multi-skilled Teams
• Mentoring or Technical Lead Engineer Experience
• Current TS Clearance

The salary range for this position is $205,700 - $278,300.
