Description
Join Agoda as a Data Platform Intern, Devops, and work on large-scale data infrastructure serving as the core backbone for all Agoda's data needs. The internship period is from August to December 2027.
The Data Platform spans four teams: Data Pipeline, Data Lake Operations, Data Applications, and Data Experience. As an intern, you'll have the opportunity to work with large distributed systems such as Apache Kafka, Elasticsearch, Hadoop, Object Storage, Spark, Docker, Kubernetes, and more.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Learning about Agoda's systems through onboarding courses
- Choosing which components to work on based on your interests
- Working with a mentor to decide on an internship project and going through the full development cycle
- Taking a project from ideation to production, including developing a proof of concept, writing tests, building dashboards, making code production-ready, deploying to production, debugging issues, and learning how to automate everything
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- An undergraduate or graduate degree in an IT-related field or computer science
- Proficiency in at least one of the following languages: Go, Python
- Good communication skills, fast learner, positive and open attitude
- Ability to work independently and as a team player
- Strong English speaking and writing skills
It's great if you have knowledge and experience in Kubernetes, Apache Hive, Apache Iceberg.
