Join kW Mission Critical Engineering, part of WSP USA, as an Early Career Mechanical Engineer in Houston or Dallas, TX. Design building infrastructure for data centers, ensuring they remain operational 24/7. Collaborate with engineers, architects, and vendors on projects for major companies.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in collecting and analyzing data for project development and design
- Perform basic mechanical engineering work, including research and inspections
- Provide technical assistance on design requirements and load calculations
- Generate documentation and specifications using electronic systems
- Comply with safety guidelines and site-specific procedures
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- 0-1 years of relevant post-education experience
- Excellent research and analytical skills
- Familiarity with design/build processes and mechanical systems
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency with technical writing and office automation software
- Familiarity with discipline-specific design software (e.g., AutoCAD)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Engineer in Training Certification
- Prior internship related to mechanical engineering
- Membership in local professional practice organizations
