As a Care Support Assistant, you will receive full training to help you thrive in your role and gain confidence in providing quality care. After training is completed, you will receive a competitive rate of pay of £18.00 per hour.
This position involves variable part-time hours per week which are night shifts and hours change dependent upon term time and non-term time.
Term time (10 hours per week) Friday - 22:00 - 8:00am
Non-term time (12 hours per week) Friday - 20:00 - 8:00am
Main duties of the job
- Assisting our client to meet their personal care and toileting needs
- Assisting our client with their daily routines, encouraging independence wherever possible
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Helping with household tasks and meal preparation
- Supporting our client to attend appointments and community activities
- Administering medication when required
What We’re Looking For
- A caring and empathetic nature
- Good communication skills
- A genuine desire to support others
- Basic IT and record-keeping skills
- A full UK driving licence is advantageous
- Experience in working with people with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour would be an advantage – full training provided
