Description
We are seeking a Civil Project Engineer to join our Infrastructure team in Montreal. As a Senior Project Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering municipal infrastructure projects across Quebec. You will utilize your technical expertise to lead the design and preparation of plans, specifications, and details for municipal infrastructure projects, including water supply, sewage, roads, and highways. You will also coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project integration, review and validate engineering calculations, prepare technical reports, and estimate costs for municipal works. Additionally, you will mentor junior engineers to support their professional growth and technical mastery.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and preparation of plans, specifications, and details for municipal infrastructure projects
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project integration
- Review and validate engineering calculations according to applicable standards, codes, and regulations
- Prepare and approve technical reports and cost estimates for municipal works
- Mentor junior engineers to support their professional growth and technical mastery
- Act as a technical resource for clients, presenting recommendations and proposing solutions tailored to their needs
- Supervise the work of technicians, drafters, and engineers assigned to projects
- Contribute to the delivery of impactful projects within high-performing multidisciplinary teams
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in municipal infrastructure design
- Experience in consulting engineering is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of municipal project design and delivery principles
- Proven experience in coordinating technical teams and mentoring professionals
- Excellent ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and budgets
- Excellent French communication skills, both written and verbal
