Description
We are seeking a part-time Clinical Nurse II to join our 10-bed Cardiovascular Surgical Intensive Care Unit (CSICU) team at UNC Rex Heart & Vascular Hospital. As a Clinical Nurse II, you will provide specialized care to critically ill patients recovering from complex cardiovascular surgeries.
Responsibilities:
- Provide evidence-based care to high-acuity cardiovascular patients
- Care for patients requiring ECMO, mechanical circulatory support, and advanced hemodynamic monitoring
- Recognize and respond to changes in patient conditions
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families while supporting teamwork and continuous improvement
Qualifications:
- Current RN license and BLS certification
- ACLS certification or willingness to obtain per unit requirements
- At least one year of nursing experience
- Preferred: ICU, CVICU, or surgical critical care experience; familiarity with ECMO, ventilator management, and advanced hemodynamic monitoring
