Description
We are seeking a Nutrition Services Provider to join our team at Intermountain Health St George Regional Hospital.
As a Nutrition Services Provider, you will be responsible for providing nutrition services to patients utilizing standardized guidelines. You will interact with clinical caregivers, patients, and patient's family members to explain the meal process and modify meal selections according to provider orders.
Responsibilities:
- Take patient meal selections and modify them using system standards to meet provider orders.
- Check trays for accuracy during meal assembly.
- Communicate clearly to both clinical and culinary caregivers.
- Collect and input nutrition screening information.
- Complete calorie count and nutrition analysis as dictated by facility.
- Utilize a computer to run reports and take orders.
- Deliver and present trays to patients using the standard process.
- Perform food preparation functions according to system standards.
- Follow standardized practices relating to Nutrition Services.
- Perform accurate credit transactions according to system standards and independently resolve basic customer service issues.
Requirements:
- Food Handler Permit or ServSafe Certification is required by first day of work (required ONLY in the states of Utah and Idaho).
- Demonstrated ability to work with modified diets (preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service (preferred).
Physical Requirements:
- Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.
- Frequent interactions with customers that require employee to communicate as well as understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy.
- Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transport, pull, and push equipment.
- Remain standing for long periods of time to perform work.
- Tolerate extremes in temperature.
Schedule:
- PRN, as needed
- Weekends and holiday rotation required
- Pay Rate: $18.40 - $23.92 (based on experience)
