Description
Salesforce is seeking a Solution Engineer to serve as a technical trusted advisor and deal quarterback across Aerospace & Defense primes and large Federal System Integrator accounts. The successful candidate will have experience working with complex enterprise programs, modern cloud architecture, and agentic AI capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Engage directly with A&D primes and large Federal SIs to understand program goals, mission requirements, and technical constraints
- Map customer challenges to the Salesforce platform: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, MuleSoft, Tableau, Agentforce, Data Cloud, and GovCloud+
- Design, build, and deliver compelling, tailored demos and POC solutions for A&D/SI use cases
- Architect and prototype Agentforce solutions for A&D environments
- Clearly articulate Salesforce's security and compliance posture to technical evaluators, CISOs, and program security officers
- Support RFI/RFP responses by contributing technical content, demo scenarios, and architecture documentation
- Partner with Account Executives, Capture Managers, and Customer Success in a team-selling environment to support pursuit strategy and pipeline development
- Build reusable POC assets, playbooks, and best-practice guides tuned to A&D and Federal SI delivery patterns
- Feed structured Voice of the Customer insights back to Salesforce Product; inform messaging and plays with Product Marketing
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience as a Solution or Sales Engineer for a CRM, enterprise SaaS, or mission IT company
- Hands-on Agentforce, Data Cloud, and Salesforce Platform builder
- Practical AI fluency: working knowledge of LLMs, RAG/grounding, agentic system design, and production behavior
- Deep discovery and MVP scoping: able to run technical and business discovery with both prime program offices and SI delivery teams
- Familiarity with federal compliance frameworks: CMMC
- Strong written, verbal, and whiteboard communication skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, team-selling environment managing multiple complex pursuits simultaneously
- U.S. citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance preferred
