Description
CVS Health is seeking a Lead Director for its Cloud Platform engineering teams within Digital Engineering. The successful candidate will own multiple platform engineering teams that power the products and services delivered to members.
The Lead Director - Digital Engineering, Cloud Platform will set technical direction for AWS, DevOps, and CI/CD; own the platform's security and compliance posture; run cloud cost as a managed portfolio; build self-service tooling; and lead AI adoption across the platform and teams.
Responsibilities:
- Set cloud platform strategy, target-state AWS architecture, and multi-year roadmap
- Own AWS security architecture and governance
- Lead AI adoption across the organization
- Drive CI/CD standards and Infrastructure-as-Code adoption
- Run cloud cost as a managed portfolio
- Own operational excellence across the platform
- Lead multiple engineering teams and managers
- Represent the platform to senior stakeholders
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in infrastructure or platform engineering
- 7+ years of experience leading engineering teams, managers, and technical portfolios
- 5+ years of hands-on AWS at enterprise scale experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Leadership experience in healthcare, insurance, financial services, or another highly regulated industry
- Demonstrated success scaling CI/CD platforms and Infrastructure-as-Code
- Proven track record running a cloud cost optimization or FinOps program
- Experience embedding security-by-design into cloud architecture
- Executive-level communication skills
- Experience building internal developer platforms or self-service tooling
- Direct experience piloting or scaling AI-assisted engineering tools
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or AWS Certified Security – Specialty
- FinOps Foundation certification or demonstrated FinOps practice leadership
The typical pay range for this role is: $144,200.00 - $288,400.00 per year.
