Winter 2027 Manufacturing Engineer Co-op

As a Manufacturing Engineer Co-op, you will work on projects supporting teams designing and building aerospace structures using carbon fiber composite material systems.

Responsibilities

• Receive problem statements guidelines, requirements, and reporting milestones
• Independently perform trade studies, designs, and generate solutions for approval
• Execute the procurement of hardware as necessary to implement solutions
• Test, verify, and demonstrate the effectiveness of your solutions

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
• Returning to school at the end of the internship to continue academic studies for at least one quarter or semester
• U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities; U.S. clearance eligibility may be required depending on program
• Ability to complete an in-person 16-24-week internship in one of our offices

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience leading project and working with data collection, analysis, and driving improvements
• Hands-on experience with R/C and/or autonomous flight vehicles, flight controllers, or other related control systems
• A genuine interest in manufacturing and desire to learn
• Coursework, internships, or school-related experience in a relevant field, preferably manufacturing related
• Exposure to PCBA fabrication, including coursework or project work with SMT processes
• Hands-on experience physically manufacturing hardware via any means
• Software scripting experience in any language
• Familiarity with CAD software, Manufacturing Execution Systems, or ERP/MRP systems
