Description
Barts Health NHS Trust is seeking a Trust Doctor (ST3+ level) in Emergency Medicine to join the Emergency Department at Whipps Cross University Hospital. This post offers the opportunity to gain exposure and clinical management skills in pathologies reflecting the diverse local population.
The successful applicant will work as a Registrar/ST3+ level in the Emergency Department at Whipps Cross Hospital, serving one of the most diverse populations in the United Kingdom. The post is initially for 6 months, with the possibility of extension up to 12 months or longer.
Job Responsibilities: The post holder will be required to work shifts and flexible hours, including overnight shifts. The successful candidate will join a friendly, dynamic, and supportive emergency workforce.
Person Specification:
- Qualifications and knowledge:
+ MB ChB or equivalent + Full MRCEM + Full GMC Registration with license to practice
- Experience and Skills:
+ Medical knowledge commensurate with grade + Experience at SHO level or above, with at least 12 months in Emergency Medicine + Understanding of ALS/ATLS/APLS principles
- Personal and people development:
+ Good communication skills, both written and verbal + Able to work within a multidisciplinary team
- Communication:
+ Commitment to quality care + Enthusiasm in teaching junior doctors, medical students, and nurses + Ability to organize one's CPD + Involvement in clinical audit
Additional Requirements:
- The post holder will be required to work shifts and flexible hours, including overnight shifts.
- This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975, and a submission for Disclosure will be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
- Applicants must have current UK professional registration.
Salary: £51,931 to £69,976 per annum
