Description
NHS North East London (NHS NEL) is recruiting a Clinical Director of Proactive Care (Urgent and Emergency Care) at a critical time for improving clinical pathways within urgent and emergency care.
The post holder will provide clinical leadership, support, and guidance to the NHS NEL's Chief Clinical and Quality Commissioning Officer.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing clinical leadership and support to the Chief Clinical and Quality Commissioning Officer
- Developing and implementing improvement and transformation across NHS NEL
- Ensuring robust clinical consultation and engagement
- Supporting and working closely with senior colleagues within NHS NEL
- Assuming SRO/Chairing responsibilities for some key programmes and committees
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience of clinical leadership at a senior and system level
- Experience of managing and delivering large-scale projects
- Significant experience of working in a clinical commissioning role
- Experience in designing and delivering large-scale pathway transformation programmes
- Highly developed leadership, vision, strategic thinking, and planning skills
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
This is a Band 9 role with a salary of £121,528 to £138,529 per year pro-rata, on a part-time permanent contract.
The role is based at 20 Churchill Place, Canary Wharf, London, E14 5HJ.
