As a Commercial Loss Adjuster, you will be an impartial and independent specialist in the assessment of commercial property insurance claims. Using your expertise, you'll assess and resolve insurance claims by determining the cause, liability, and quantum of reported losses.
Accountabilities:
- Assess claims through on-site visits using commercial processes, systems, and technologies
- Manage a portfolio of claims from initial advice to settlement, following Sedgwick's policies and procedures
- Investigate the cause and extent of loss, ensuring efficiency and a customer-focused approach
- Determine if the loss falls within the insurance policy's terms and conditions
- Deliver loss-adjusting services that meet or exceed client service standards
- Provide proactive communication with clients and customers on initial findings and potential solutions
- Calculate repair and/or replacement costs (reserve)
About you:
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Will to study or hold a professional qualification recognized by the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF)
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills
- Passionate about customer service, with the ability to engage with various stakeholders
- Self-motivated with strong time management and organizational skills
- Current driver's licence, as fieldwork is required
