3rd Year Pharmacy Intern

At CVS Health, you will have the opportunity to apply your pharmacy school knowledge in a real-world setting as a 3rd Year Pharmacy Intern. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a comprehensive training roadmap, gaining hands-on experience and developing your skills in preparation for a Pharmacist role.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the pharmacy team to ensure smooth operations, prompt prescription filling, and excellent patient service
• Apply didactic learning from pharmacy school to real-world practice
• Complete a comprehensive training roadmap, including Key Learning Experiences (KLEs), activities, and time with leaders in your district
• Develop skills in areas such as patient counseling, medical questioning, and prescription processing
• Contribute to a positive patient experience, showing empathy and genuine care
• Maintain self-awareness and provide coaching, training, and mentoring to pharmacy team members
• Participate in inventory management and other pharmacy tasks as directed

Requirements:

• Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy
• Valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
• Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
• Strong attention and focus, with ability to pivot quickly between tasks
• Excellent customer service and team orientation skills
• Effective communication skills, including verbal and written communication
• Mathematical reasoning skills, including ability to calculate totals and day's supply
• Problem resolution skills, including identifying challenging interactions and choosing the best course of action

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
• Ability to become immunization certified
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
