Description
We are seeking a Competition Law Advisor to join our team in Brussels. Our team advises German and international companies on European, international, and German merger control, abuse of dominance, cartel enforcement, contract drafting, and compliance. We represent companies in proceedings before the European Commission and the Federal Cartel Office. Another focus of our practice in Brussels is EU state aid law.
In the area of export control law, we advise German and international companies on sanctions and export control law issues. We assist clients with internal investigations of possible violations and conduct authority proceedings before the Federal Office for Economic Security and Export Control and customs authorities. In international transactions, we advise on investment control proceedings under the Foreign Trade Ordinance. In cross-border mandates, we work closely with other foreign offices.
Our ideal candidate has:
- At least a satisfactory first state examination at a German university
- Interest in economic contexts and processes
- Very good English language skills
- Ideally, initial experience abroad and practical experience, e.g. through internships
