Join our team as an Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer – Mining Residue Management in Quebec, Canada.
We are looking for a motivated engineer to work on designing, constructing, maintaining, and restoring mining residue parks to the highest industry standards, with a focus on environmental protection.
As an Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer, you will have the opportunity to:
- Contribute to the geotechnical design of mining residue parks, dams, and other mining infrastructure
- Participate in planning and managing geotechnical investigation programs
- Conduct numerical analyses and modeling in geotechnical engineering
- Perform site visits and inspections of mining sites
- Collaborate with internal teams on integrated studies
- Write clear and structured technical reports
- Provide technical assistance to operating mines
- Mentor junior engineers
- Contribute to business development in Abitibi
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Mining Engineering, or a related field
- Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) or eligible to become one in the short term
- Intermediate experience in geotechnical engineering applied to the mining sector
- Experience with planning and supervising geotechnical investigations
- Proficiency in numerical analyses and modeling in geotechnical engineering
- Comfortable working on-site in a mining context
- Ability to write high-quality technical reports
- Team player with a sense of responsibility and a desire to contribute to sustainable mining development

- AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: 98,800$ – 130,800$
- MB & ON: 90,100$ – 124,100$
- NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: 84,000$ – 113,100$
