Description
We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our team at Workday Government. As a Software Engineer, you will collaborate with Product Managers and QA Engineers on functional design and analysis of requirements, design and develop products in a metadata-driven development environment, build and maintain robust, efficient, and maintainable code, troubleshoot customer-reported issues, and mentor and learn from other team members.
The role will support one or more direct or indirect contracts with the U.S. Federal Government, which requires all Workday personnel working on the contracts to be United States citizens.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Product Managers and QA Engineers on functional design and analysis of requirements
- Design and develop products in a metadata-driven development environment
- Build and maintain robust, efficient, and maintainable code using an object-oriented framework and class modeling
- Troubleshoot customer-reported issues
- Mentor and learn from other team members through pair programming, code reviews, hackathons, etc.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience with UML, Web application development, or SaaS technologies
- 4+ years of experience with design and development using an object-oriented language such as Java, Python, C#, C++, etc.
- 4+ years of experience designing/developing business applications
- 4+ years of experience with design and analysis of software for performance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with JSON, REST, and GraphQL
- Strong knowledge and application of key design patterns in object-oriented development
- Experience in developing applications that prioritize usability and configurability
- Preferred DoD 8570/8140 compliant with at least IAT Level II certification
- Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field or equivalent work experience
We offer a competitive salary range of $121,200 - $181,800 per year, depending on location and experience. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package, including a bonus plan, stock grants, and flexible work arrangements.
