Description
We are looking for a Software Engineer – Developer Productivity to join our team at Helpshift, a part of Keywords Studios. As a Software Engineer – Developer Productivity, you will play a crucial role in improving the productivity of our entire engineering team.
You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure CI/CD pipelines for automating deployment, configuration, and testing processes. You will integrate security into the release workflow and ensure that all CI-CD tools are compliant from a security perspective.
Your primary focus will be on understanding developer workflows and build systems to improve build times. You will partner with other engineering teams to develop scalable tools and infrastructure for developing, testing, debugging, and releasing software quickly.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining secure CI/CD pipelines
- Integrating security into the release workflow
- Improving build times by understanding developer workflows and build systems
- Developing scalable tools and infrastructure for software development
- Collaborating with other engineering teams
Requirements:
- 5+ years of software development experience
- In-depth knowledge of UNIX-like operating systems
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of implementing security in CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with Cloud Computing platforms like Amazon AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Heroku
- Experience with IaaC tools like Ansible, Puppet, Terraform
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
Good to have:
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Shell, Java, Clojure
- Experience with IDEs like IntelliJ, VSCode, Emacs
- Familiarity with testing challenges
- Comfortable using CLI tools for day-to-day tasks
- Systematic problem-solving approach and excellent communication skills
