Neonatal Dietitian

We are excited to have secured new funding to provide a specialist dietitian to our neonatal service at Darent Valley Hospital and we welcome you to come and join our friendly team.

You will be supported by a team of 6 Paediatric dietitians in the Nutrition & Dietetic Department and work alongside a neonatal speech and language therapist and physiotherapist in the neonatal service.

Main responsibilities will include:

• undertaking comprehensive nutritional assessments of neonates with complex nutritional needs, applying specialist knowledge of neonatal nutrition and prematurity
• advising on suitable management treatment plans for infants and their parents/carers on the neonatal unit/in outpatient clinics
• attending ward rounds and providing highly specialised clinical advice to the neonatal team
• participating in the evaluation, policy development and improvement of clinical practice
