Description
The Aladdin Platform Engineering – Engineering Services team at BlackRock builds platforms, pipelines, and developer tooling used by thousands of engineers daily. You will lead the cybersecurity engineering function, working with platform engineering, product management, risk, and the firm's information security organization to protect the firm.
As Director for Cybersecurity Engineering, you'll set the technical strategy for integrating security into software delivery and cloud infrastructure at scale. Your focus will be on software supply chain integrity, ensuring every artifact shipped carries verifiable provenance and every release is attested.
Your responsibilities:
- Own the software supply chain security strategy end-to-end
- Secure the build and release path
- Define and implement the security model for agentic and AI-assisted workflows
- Embed automated controls across the delivery lifecycle
- Partner with information security, risk, and audit to translate regulatory requirements into engineered guardrails
- Build, lead, and mentor a team of security engineers
Requirements:
- 10+ years in security engineering, platform engineering, or application security
- Deep understanding of software supply chain security
- Strong command of DevSecOps practice
- Cloud-native security expertise
- Practical experience securing AI and machine learning workloads
- Track record of influencing engineering organizations
Salary range for New York, NY: USD$215,000.00 - USD$275,000.00. Benefits include healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits.
