Description
We are seeking a Quality Supervisor to join our team at 3M in Ensenada, Baja California. As a Quality Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance with procedures, instructions, and regulations generated by the area, as well as monitoring quality, safety, and environmental policies at our plant.
Responsibilities:
- Validate, accept, or reject First Article Reports before they are sent to customers
- Create and monitor weekly plans for first articles and ensure commitment dates are met
- Develop, monitor, and control various quality documents (CCAR, ICAR, VNCR, IPI, NCN, etc.)
- Provide investigation results, action plans to mitigate risks, and evidence of effectiveness
- Conduct internal audits and customer audits
- Review and approve documentation related to the quality management system
- Monitor capacity vs demand for quality cells, QI stock status, and detained product
- Communicate directly with customers for corrections or changes to documentation
- Maintain product conformity certificates and databases
- Initiate and follow up on Non-Conformance Notifications (NCN) during manufacturing
- Implement statutory requirements (AS9100) and customer expectations
- Motivate teams to meet quality standards in all manufacturing processes
- Manage personnel, payroll, and employee benefits
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering (desirable)
- 1 year of experience in quality or related positions
- Intermediate English proficiency
- MS-Office applications
- Interpretation of engineering drawings and plans
- Problem-solving methodologies (8Ds, Ishikawa, etc.)
- AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks experience
