We are seeking a Sr. Manager Field Engineering to lead our efforts in digital native companies, focusing on designing, developing, and implementing technology solutions tailored to businesses born in the digital era.
The Solutions Architecture team serves as trusted advisors, helping customers identify and prioritise impactful use cases across their industries, providing expert technical guidance to drive Data and AI solutions from concept to production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership to guide customers through competitive landscapes, best practices, and implementation strategies using Databricks.
- Lead, build, and mentor a high-performing team of solution architects to drive the adoption of the Databricks Platform at large tech companies.
- Partner with sales teams to develop account strategies and align on plans to help customers achieve their business goals.
- Engage with end-user and developer communities to understand needs and tailor solutions accordingly.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience (often 5+ years) in infrastructure architecture, database architecture, networking, and IT development or consulting within software or internet industries.
- Strong understanding of digital native business models and their technology and business requirements.
- Ability to navigate complex technical environments and communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
- 4+ years of experience in the data space with a technical product.
- 5+ years of experience building and leading technical customer-facing teams.
- Strong communication skills with excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
