We are seeking a Designer, Product Design, Japan to join our team.
You will be responsible for proposing and supervising product design for licensing businesses.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing high-quality product design proposals and supervision that meet the needs of licensees and client companies, as well as market trends.
- Collaborating with account management teams and marketing teams to maximize sales and brand value.
- Working with sales representatives to plan and propose products to licensees.
- Staying up-to-date on consumer and market trends in your assigned category and sharing insights with the team.
- Managing workflows with licensees.
- Supervising product design for licensees through web systems.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of work experience and practical graphic design experience (Illustrator, Photoshop, Keynote).
- Ability to create graphic designs (using Illustrator, Photoshop to create product design proposals).
- Knowledge of general consumer goods, packaging, trend analysis, product development processes, and graphic design.
- Ability to understand consumer, market, and retail industry trends.
- Ability to present new concepts and ideas to internal members and licensees.
- Strong communication skills and teamwork.
- Native-level Japanese language skills, business-level English skills preferred.
