Description
As a Domestic (Facilities Services) Assistant Band 2, you will be an active team member working closely with colleagues, team leaders, nursing staff, department staff and site managers to achieve and maintain a safe, clean and hygienic environment for all patients, visitors and staff.
The postholder will be expected to consistently demonstrate behaviours aligned to the Trust's shared commitments, embedding compassion, inclusion, integrity and excellence in their day-to-day practice.
Main duties of the job:
- Undertake all general cleaning duties to a high standard within daily assigned areas.
- High and low dusting of all surfaces.
- Cleaning of sanitary areas, floor areas, doors, internal glass, and walls.
Administrative responsibilities:
- Attend audits relating to quality control for domestic and food services.
- Comply with the Trust's time and attendance systems and report absence in the correct manner.
- May be required to have contact with patients to assist with non-clinical needs.
